Palace has the kind of name that demands a bit of grandeur, and the room now has the scale to match it.

After expanding into the old Atlantis space next door, Palace became one of the larger go-gos on Walking Street, with a broad central stage, plenty of seating and a lineup deep enough to keep the room constantly changing. The look is polished rather than gimmicky - bright lighting, dark finishes and a stage that keeps the dancers firmly at the centre of attention.

Once the place fills later in the evening, Palace starts to feel less like a bar you’re dropping into and more like somewhere people have deliberately come to spend a good part of the night.

It’s been one of Walking Street’s established names for years, and the expansion only gave it more room to wear the crown.

Every palace needs a bit of spectacle. This one puts it right on stage.
