808 is one of those names that tells you what kind of night you’re walking into before the bass even hits. You're looking at one of Pattaya's premiere Hip Hop clubs up those stairs.

Head up and you first arrive at a lounge area but head on through the doors and the main room is built around the music. Hip-hop leads the soundtrack, with R&B, trap and heavier dance nights mixed in, while a central platform rises toward the DJ booth and the lighting rig works overhead. International guest DJs regularly pass through, and the club tends to find another gear once midnight is past.

When 808 fills up, the different levels seem to funnel everyone toward the DJ, until the whole room starts moving to the same beat.
