Amon Bar is one of those places that feels inseparable from Soi Pothole itself - small, eccentric and full of local character.

Named after its owner, the bar has been part of Soi Chaiyapoon for years and has built a loyal following among Pattaya regulars and expats. Its street-facing setup makes it a natural spot to settle in with a drink and watch the soi unfold, while the venue also retains the massage side that has long been part of this stretch of Pattaya nightlife.

Then there are the fish. Screens around the bar show colourful tropical fish drifting quietly through underwater scenes - a small, slightly surreal detail that somehow starts making more sense with every drink consumed.

Part bar, part massage shop, part neighbourhood institution - with Amon and her fish presiding over it all, it could really only belong in Pattaya.
