Avarice is named after greed, which feels appropriate for a bar built around the temptation to have just a little more.

Sitting toward the Beach Road end of Soi 6, it’s a small open-fronted bar with stools facing straight onto the street. That makes it as good for watching the soi unfold as it is for getting involved yourself - music inside, girls drifting between conversations and the next distraction never particularly far away.

Avarice opened in 2019 when the old Kiss Kool premises were divided between it and neighbouring Wrath, but it has long since grown into its own name as part of the Night Wish group.

One more drink. One more conversation. One more hour.

Avarice was never going to preach moderation.
