Envy works best from the outside looking in. Someone’s laughing, drinks are going around, and suddenly whatever bar you were heading toward doesn’t seem quite as important.

Inside, it keeps things straightforward: a compact Soi 6 hostess bar where the girls and conversation carry most of the night. There’s no need for a huge stage or elaborate production when the room itself is built around getting people talking, drinking and staying involved.

Envy has been part of the soi for years, and there’s something fitting about a bar with that name surviving on a street where every doorway is competing for your attention.
