Mirage 555 has taken over one of Walking Street’s better-known addresses, replacing the long-running Skyfall and turning the lights up considerably in the process.

The old room is still recognisable, but the mood has changed. Bright LED panels wash the walls and ceiling, a low illuminated stage runs through the action, and dancers seem to appear everywhere you look. With multiple stages and a lineup that can run deep into the dozens, Mirage feels built around numbers, movement and making sure there’s always something else catching your eye.

There’s still a little Skyfall DNA underneath it all, but Mirage is clearly interested in writing its own chapter now.

And with a name ending in 555, Mirage feels built for nights you remember with a grin.
